| Display Day 2006 By Shirley Pollard Our 25th Annual Display Day was held on Sunday 26th. November 2006 at Sandown Racecourse, Springvale – Victoria and we think it was another successful one. The trucks had started rolling in on Saturday afternoon and by 9am Sunday everything was underway. We had visitors there from each State in Australia but as far as we know, no-one from Northern Territory so we will have to work on that. Some of them were driving trucks and others flew in for the week-end. There were many HCVC Members in attendance as they were very visible in their Club shirt with the Club Logo on the back. Over the course of the day there were many spectators through the gate, many of them regulars every year, others there for the first time. To all our visitors/ spectators we hope you enjoyed yourselves. To our sponsors, Shannons, SelecTrucks and MaxiTrans, we say a big thank you. Most of all, to all those who exhibited their vehicles we say a BIG thank you, for without you and your workmanship, there would be no Display Day. It will be on again in 2007 in late November all being well, but a date cannot be set until towards the end of February when the Sandown race calendar is set.
