What is the Historic Commercial Vehicle Club?
The Historic Commercial Vehicle Club is a group of enthusiasts dedicated to preserving Australia's transport heritage by collecting and restoring commercial vehicles and associated memorabilia of historic Value.
What is a Commercial Vehicle?
Any vehicle that was used in connection with trade. That covers buses, trucks, fire engines, ambulances, hearses, etc. Just about any vehicle could come under the term commercial vehicle. The club welcomes new member no matter what types of vehicles they own or even if they don't own a vehicle at all.
Our Mission
- To promote the preservation, restoration and use of all types of historic commercial vehicles, fire fighting appliance and associated equipment,literature and items.
- To further knowledge and understanding of matters relating to historic commercial road transport.
- To engage in activities including vehicle events, charity functions, displays, parades and other activities as deemed appropriate for the technical and social benefit of members.
- To maintain a library of information relevant to commercial vehicles, fire fighting appliances and associated items and to distribute this information.
- To communicate and exchange information with persons and organizations with similar aims and interests.
