Cummins C 160 parts

Hi,
I am after some parts for a Cummins C 160 we are rebuilding. A couple of years ago I think NEWTO had rebuild kits.

Just wondering if NEWTO is still around and still has them or if someone knows how to get in contact with him or if there are any other suggestions on where I may be able to get a rebuild kit from.

Graeme, Newto hasn't been on the forum since the upgrade last year (not under that username anyway). If you search the forum with "Cummins" as the subject and "Newto" as in the user and select "all posts", I'm pretty sure you'll find an email address for him.

Just search for Gilly in the search link, it will show you some of his recent posts, under his name in the post is a talk bubble or little cloud, that is the link to his email...

or go to channel 40 in the top of this page menu, and type Gilly into the "to" box or select Gilly from the drop down menu... either way you get to send him a PM (private message/email)

Hi,
Logged on to post a question about a Cummins 160.
I sold most of my stock I had, only have a cyl head & a few odds & ends, water pumps for a 160, & a 180.
Have an ol mate in Tassie looking for a liner for his 160, pulled her down to investigate water usage, found one liner not serviceable. I have a set of liner o rings for him, just need the liner, even a good s/h one should hone up ok.

Ol Newto heard the call, responded to advise he has a couple of liners left, sadly he advises gasket sets have all but no longer available, genuine rings are no go, do know of a place in Adelaide that can make rings if desperate, so sadly, the future of spares is grim.
Newto will shudder with this comment, that is why I become a Detroit man, everything is still available for the 53.
