Mystery Truck was created by Lang
Decided to bring my mystery truck up into the main forum as it is lost in the Wotzit thread,

4x4, Waukesha motor. Owner claims Oshkosh but not sure, no obvious identification plates. What is it?

This looks like close but certainly not the same 1952 Federal

Thanks for that. I do believe you are right, if not HG one of the other 48-50 FWD trucks.

the 1948 and beyond models seem to have the mudguard roll right down at the front compared to the 1946-47 models ??

...just going by the earlier front mudguards, the old girl in the shed looks to be a '46 or '47, but were probably seen out here in Australia in the very late 1940's

Looking on the web there seems to be a very wide range of FWD models (many special order such as fire trucks, cranes, oil field etc)

I think you are right about this truck being the earlier version.

Lots of similarities to this 1942 model! 7,000 built right hand drive for British which could have found their way to Australia.

The 'Thomas N Griffin' plate on the front is a rear weight from an E27N Fordson fitted with a Griffin Front End Loader.

Before I got to the picture of the front axle housing, which looks FWD, I was going to ask if any Duplex's made it Down Under???
