Looks like it was a little van cut down.

This is in Ireland - if it is in the South and you suggest any connection (apart from the vehicle itself) with the description "Pom" you will have fight on your hands!

I think the USA tie up is not geography but half the Eastern USA population has Irish ancestry from the Irish who were starved out by the Poms.
