I have my shoulder to the wheel,
my nose to the grindstone,
I've put my best foot forward,
I've put my back into it,
I'm gritting my teeth,
Now I find I can't do any work in this position!

I remember the Powerplus in the top pic and if my memory is correct, it was named "Reg Bishop". The name can be seen on the side of the sleeper.

Some more from Israel showing the evolution of the Israeli Leyland Ashdod tin. First two are of what can be called an interim type with Israeli cab but UK bonnet and wings (well, the first one is a bit mangled after being used for IDF target practice :S ) , second is the first fully Israeli designed body and the last is of the final series.
Engine ranged from the 680 to the turbocharged 690 identified by the big air filter.

Maybe a bit later as the cab doors have quarterlights. Powerplus engines (200hp vs 150hp) came in about 1960.
