Hey guy's

Due to a few cash flow problems along with some health issues and hassles of trying to put a big truck into a boggy residential yard without success I'm seriously thinking the best thing to do is to list the truck for sale.

555 Cummins and busntruck have been champions trying to help out, but I think I have bitten off more then I can chew.

The truck seems to be in great mechanical nick for its age, the body isn't all that bad too.

I've got the truck listed here http://www.simpletrade.com.au/result_details.php?id=800227959 for anyone interested

I'll probably kick my arse if I sell it, I've sold a motorcycle and some other gear to keep the cash flow going, the truck has to be the next in line.

The asking price is fairly firm, it owes me a lot more. If anyone is interested just drop me a message here or through simpletrade.

Hopefully I can sort things out and keep it, but at the moment it's not looking good.

Some piccies below

take it to an auto electrician. thay may be able to rebuild it or have a replacement you can use. if you can get the replacement number off them then you can hunt for a better price if you think its too dear.

the sensor screwed in to the bellhousing counts engine revolutions. it usually wont start if its that one. like i said before, on the back of the gearbox if there is 2 sensors try swapping the wires from one to the other. the sensors are the same. if it works you wont have a speedo. replace that sensor. they should be around $150 from memory. when you replace it, screw it in by hand until it bottoms out on the pick up then back it off half a turn. that will give you the correct clearance. good luck hope it works for your mate.

well. today when i got home from work i did another bleeding session. the old fashion way. i seem to have gotten the air out. i can engage the gears now, but there is a tiny bit of grinding at first but as i use the clutch a bit it goes away or if i pump the pedal a few times when i get in it doesnt happen.
i do have to push the pedal right to the floor though. should i keep bleeding?

could there be a need to adjust the rod going into the mc?

it works for now and i'm satisfied. thanks alot for the help guys

and since i'm here and you guys seem to know your stuff...

i'm looking for a starter and having a hard time figuring out which one to buy.
it takes a bit for the truck to turn over and its quite loud when trying.
the starter under the hood looks like the original. simple. large. cylindrical. old.

this is what ive come up with so far- bosch sr529x

its used in a power wagon and a baracuda.
when i search for a starter for the fargo or a dodge d100 nothing really comes up. the local parts place gave me this part number for a 62 dodge pick up.

any idea of somewhere i can find some more info on what modern parts work in my truck????
