Check out Wagga Tractor & Truck. They advertise on Ebay. Have a list of kingpin/ shackle pin sets. Bought a few Inter parts off them.

Went and checked out poly yesterday is in a 575 AT4, anyway some fresh petrol and she fired up no worries. Not sure of the year as to if its a 313 or 318.  Engine number is 1614-101241C

Stumbled across this the other day when i was workin at Skipper Trucks.  There was a R series Mack in the yard and the door handles caught my eye as they looked like my dodge door handles.  Took a few pics and also ran tape over it to get size.  They are the same door handle, my truck is 1959 and later dodge/inter use this door handle as well.  R series mack did not come out till mid 60's.

If you do some looking, you will find that hardware-sharing is common. In particular, within companies "separate lines" .. but also, when a manufacturer can't justify the cost of making a completely new part. The door handles on '52 Chevs are the same as FE & FC Holdens, I've been told .. although I've never checked personally .. and I've heard of other restorers being surprised when they found the same hardware on a different vehicle. I found original emission control switches on my 4.2L Holden V8 in my 1980 Bedford, that are Ford logo labelled, and complete with Ford P/No's! ..  Shocked

You will probably find, that the door handles were cast by a non-ferrous foundry in Adelaide, operating under contract to Chrysler .. and because they were independent suppliers .. and because "registered design" rights for parts, normally expire after 6 years .. they were likely to be willing to supply the handles to anyone that wanted them.

At a guess i would say you would be rite and it would be only the aussie made Macks.

Well the sarvo started pulling the old girl apart, gave the cordless rattle gun and grinder a work out and burnt some grass and also lost some skin Grin Grin
Cab bolts are all 5/16unc and with rust are tough to move, all that oil i pumped around a few weeks ago has helped a bit but and got quite a few undone.  Aim is to get front clip off in one piece as nose cone to gard bolts are hard to get to with spanner let alone rattle gun or grinder.

This truck of mine has 7.00 series tyres on a 20" x 5" rim, would these rims be wide enough for a 8.25 or even 9.00 tyre.

Hello,   what you have to be careful of is the dish on the wheel , that your bigger tires dont kiss on the duals,
900x20 like 6,5 inch rim and 8.25 a 6 inch, you may get away with the smaller rim and if you go that way it pays to use a smaller size rust band so you can collapse the walls a bit to get the lock ring off, i have F500's here that have 750's on the 700 rim and the duals are kissing without anything on it

What can be done with the brakes on this old girl, its just got the single line hydraulic with no booster. And also will a Commer/Dodge 5 speed overdrive bolt up to the 4 speed (NP435) bellhousing

Bruce, just go through them and make sure the cylinders and brake hoses and lines are all right. You can put a vacuum booster on them, I think the PBR one is a VH44, Onetrack will know, which will make the pedal a bit softer.

VH44, is that big enough to do the job.  also the truck has 5/16 lines where the VH44 i had in my Valiant was only 3/16

The VH44 isn't big enough, it's only designed for cars. PBR separate their hydroboosters into car and truck types. I don't know what the current models of PBR hydroboosters are, PBR keep changing the models and updating and making others obsolete. All the info I have on PBR braking, is mostly on obsolete models, so I can keep up with changes. If you go along to an ABS Brakes branch, they will set you on the right track for the correct hydrobooster to suit the Dodge.

the after market P B R hydropower unit for a 3 59 was a  VH 80. I did have commer 5 speed O/D that was behind a perkins when i took the fly wheel and the clutch plate off the 318 i took it in to  a clutch manufacturer  i was told that the shaft on the gear box was too big for the clutch plate dia

not sure how easy it is to find a commer 5 speed overdrive, but there are a few "dodge" overdrive 6 speeds around

Im in Lynwood.
Pulled the rest of the front clip off today.  Nose cone is in good shape with rust about the size of a 50 cent piece and thats it, the gards and bonnet make up for it but.  Will just work on these panels now and not pull anymore off the old girl.
