Progressing well with the wiring going back in and working on the brakes too,
I have taken good advise and am in the process of replacing all the steel pipe.
Can any one offer some advise on sourcing parts needed
The tail light, does any one know of a similar looking replacement, just park, stop and number plate function.
out of interest is the unit i have original or after market, i can not see any "Hella" or similar markings on it
Also i am after an air cleaner unit, hopefully the original oil bath type to suit the Carter carb, does any one have one in the shed?
Cheers
Jim

Hi Jim,
We've probably got a spare filter amongst all our Austin spare parts, but were in Adelaide. If you cant source one close by, feel free to PM us if they are the same type. Sorry, but can't help with the lamps though, mine are all British designs.
Cheers

I always assumed those taillights were Bosch. I have a couple I don't really want to part with.
I wonder if "Aussie Ed" in Dubbo has reproduced those? They were common once.
Jarrod.

Hi Claire,
Do you think the canister will fit up right?
do they just clamp on the carb top or have other brackets off the engine?
cheers

I have found a front bar off the same model!
but the condition is pretty challenging,
I am after some inspiration on how to attack this task
The bar was lying on the ground under some gum trees, only the parts not covered by leaves was not returned to mother nature!
I an hoping to straighten out the ends and cut and weld in the center section,
I will need to talk to the metal fabricators and see what bends they can achieve also
all suggestions appreciated

I have found some timbers for the ute floor, after a look around a few timber yards the only options i saw where flooring or decking timber in smooth finish.
I wanted to keep the older used appearance of the ute so kept looking for some rough sawn planks and eventually found some 5x1 inch cypress rough sawn.
The boards look great as the pack has been sitting for ages, i sanded the edges and cut them to length.
The underside i have tar painted and the top i will linseed oil after i screw them in
