There's some interesting vehicles there, when I had a second look I noticed a rare WWII Ford Coupe Ute possibly 1941/2 (Mercury?)

Willie Cappons place in Geelong a pity all the trucks outside are all rusted so severely should be popular, the Ford F1 looks interesting and the ex army XY ute to, I think the car type ford ute is a 46 Ford Deluxe, you're right about that Mercury definately wartime built should be a good sale won't be cheap collectors paradise

How sad to look at these trucks and think that they were once brand new, and someones pride and joy.

I've had another look at the Ford Ute & a quick check reveals that it is a 1942 Ford Deluxe built for the Australian Forces out of a sedan, some even ended up with various state police forces.

He was a funny bugger, old Billy. Wouldn't sell anything, if he could avoid it. I asked him about a ford XC ute inside his gate, about thirty years ago, "no, not selling that one", so it rusted away, and went in the skip with the scrap metal.. Crazy, I reckon.
And got around in the most busted up, worn out old Corolla, you'd reckon he didn't have two cents to rub together. But apparantly he had a fair bit of land around the place, and not short of a quid.
Strange what people do, eh.

Richard, this will be "Bigger than BEN HUR" imagine all the people wanting to have a bo peep after all these years of not getting past the front gate. I remember the yard on the opposite side of the road with grass & stuff growing up through everything, so sad in a way. Cheers Tim

Went and had a look yesterday the shed had been cleared out and all the parts were laid out on the floor in rows and they were having a garage sale, walking through the lines of vehicles there some real gems a very rusty ex army EH sedan and behind it a badly smashed ZB or ZC ex army Fairlane custom it was quite depressing I was going but decided not to get involved in the auction madness
