Wanted-info on remote control towers NP435

Hi All,
Know this is probably going to be a LONG shot, but I have been trying to locate the whereabouts of a remote control shift tower to suit either a Ford of Dodge NP435 transmission. Would not even know if any have ever came over here. I have posted unsuccessfully so far on some of the Ford/G.M./ Dodge forums. Anyone got any idea of how I might broaden the search? If I get onto either eBay or Google, I come up with literally thousands of "hits", but don't seem to be able to refine them or narrow them down. Even tried a few of the larger rebuilt transmission houses, but they seem to have online shopping lists and seem to be reluctant (again, so far) to even answer a query. I also realise they are getting on a bit in age and no doubt with the Nth American penchant for scrapping stuff only after a short time, it gets harder all the time.
Perhaps someone here may have a mate or at least a contact over there I could write to and ask them to keep an eye out?
Would be appreciated, Thanks

Dave, try Midlands Trucks Bendigo 5446 8722, drive line/transmission specialists, I understand they used to be major cog box rebuilders... ya never know if someone there is old enough to know the answer. But certainly someone there will answer the phone and talk to you.

Would the top off an Inter one not fit? They put zillions of them in smaller ACCOs. Could you not just cut down a standard gear lever and run a linkage to that? Curious to know what you have in mind. (this is for the aux., right?)

Jarrod,
IF the smaller Acco's used the NP435 with the remote, probably be able to be modified. I know from what parts I have here of conventional boxes that although the transmission case patterns are the same, there ARE some differences between Ford/Dodge/Inter in the depth of the reach of the sticks as well as the reach of the selector forks, if that makes sense. Yes, it is for the aux box, just about got it sorted except for the linkages.

Should have asked, would anyone be able to either let me know what model Acco's ran that NP435? Previous queries on this a while ago, called it the T17?? AND also, if someone had an exploded view of either the cable/linkage set up?

510A that I know of for sure, not sure what size they went up to (before getting a 5 speed).

Have Barry from Midland Spares on the case, going to try and chase something up. If anyone has a workshop manual they may be able to photostat or post here, would go assist greatly. Thanks

Got hold of half the required parts from Midland, didn't have the actual remote lever from the cabin to where it is attached by the linkage rod at the actual transmission tower. If I cant get hold of one, may have to fabricate something or modify something from another similar set up.
Would still appreciate if anyone may be able to post a diagram of the linkage set up from the Acco 510A, if you have one and can spare the time. Thanks, Dave_64
