Is that Overland tractor in the bloke's shed? It looks as though it may be in a museum? What I really want to know is can we go and see it?

I have my shoulder to the wheel,
my nose to the grindstone,
I've put my best foot forward,
I've put my back into it,
I'm gritting my teeth,

Now I find I can't do any work in this position!

Here is an American attempt at an Overland conversion (later model early twenties). The tow hook on the diff cover plate is a great idea for straight pulls - takes any strain off the vehicle itself. The Australian bloke has the benefit of off-set tow point for ploughing.

And here is the Model T conversion referred to above. It has the two speed Ruxtell axle to lower the Ford 2 speed gearbox.

Here are some more. The first one is very interesting because it includes the addition of a Chevrolet joey box on to the Ford.

This bloke must have had some sort of lever to jam the Ford gear pedal in first gear. No way you could go for more than a short time holding pressure on the pedal with your foot.

Some good video and pics Lang, thanks for adding to the topic.

Morris, the Overland is in a private collection and not normally open to the public.

Most of those ford tractors used the trans in top just as a clutch as the reduction in the wheels is so great low is not needed and that on has the chev gearbox as well
