| The long-term goal of the Club is to build a Transport Museum to house restored and original examples of our Transport Heritage. This could be staffed on a volunteer roster and would be open to the public, school tours etc. We believe that in time the museum could become self-funding and also accommodate vehicles for restoration, workshop, library and Club meeting rooms. We have had discussions with the Minister for Ports & Roads and the Minister for Transport over possible sites and buildings. The Ministers do acknowledge our Club by conducting the official openings at our Display Days. Discussions have also been held and are continuing with four kindred organisations on the possibility of sharing accommodation. To combine these organisations under one roof would result in an exhibition equal to Transport Museums overseas. This could cover such diverse areas of road transport as Trucks, Trams, Buses, Fire engines and Steam Traction engines, making it truly an exhibition celebrating Transport through the ages.
