Well it is not long now until this years RIR. It is at the end of this month so dust off your toys and and get them ready to bring them out to play. They will be running an Aussie record attempt for most stationary engines running at one time and these engines taking place must be registered for the event.
Dee an I will be just 2 of the engine scrutineers again this year but we will be needing many more. I am still doing my best to get the David Brown 30C Cropmaster done and dusted for it too.
Hope to see you there.
Cheers Cobba & Cobbarette

Cobba,
Please tell us mexicans (south of the border) where and when RIR is to be held.

Many years ago, I went to Shitme to some show, I forget which, and two 20-somethings were manning a stall raving about a new museum called "powerhouse" about to be opened. I had a lot of trouble finding out where it was. "Down near the Airport" did not help. In the end I asked " what town or City is it in?" At last the female 20-something was able to tell me it was Sydney. She obviously thought that Sydney was the only place that existed in the world and that everybody knew it.
I have my shoulder to the wheel,
my nose to the grindstone,
I've put my best foot forward,
I've put my back into it,
I'm gritting my teeth,

Now I find I can't do any work in this position!

Thanks for that posting Lang and sorry Morris for not offering up more info.
The Power House Museum at the moment is based in Ultimo Sydnet in Harris St. Dee and I went there again recently and saw the display on the moon landing. It has about 5 levels of fantastic displays and they have a huge warehouse at Baulkam Hills which can be visited at very rare times and only when organised. The museum is soon to be moved out to Parramatta into the old David Jones building on the side of the Parramatta River which I think is close to a ferry wharf which goes all the way back to Circular Quay if you want to do a ferry ride there in the future. So if you are hitting Sydney soon you can can one of the light rail trains from Central Railway Station and get off at the second stop, Haymarket and look further down the road in the direction the train is travelling and you will see a big sign that guides you to the museum, maybe less than 5 minute walk.
