I have my shoulder to the wheel,
my nose to the grindstone,
I've put my best foot forward,
I've put my back into it,
I'm gritting my teeth,
Now I find I can't do any work in this position!

It is not a Ruxtell, nor a two speed of any make. The axle and transverse springs look like stock Model T Ford but the curved bars from axle to hub and the telescopic shock absorbers do not.

Possibly it might be from a ONE TON model T truck.

Loosley, not that I know 5/8ths about the old model T, but I think Morris means that the skinny housing, with out the lever is the standard model T, like in your top picture, I could be wrong. I thought the Ruckstell has a bigger housing with the lever hanging out of it. I've only seen one, and I asked what it is, and what it was and was quite surprised you could get a 2 speed diff in a model T, to the extent I even took a picture.

Ln,
I would go with Morris and Cam on identifying the first photo as a standard single speed worm drive TT axle.
The Ruckstall (and there were several other after market two speeds for Model T cars and trucks) has the fatter diff and lever as in your second photo and Cam's.
I am also puzzled by the round "arms" on top of the axle. All I can think of it is a strengthening modification as the Fords were not known for their huge axle strength. Very professional and the shock absorbers? - what about a bus body Model T?
*Just enlarged the photo. They are not strengthening arms at all. They are aftermarket shock absorbers with double springs. What looks like shock absorbers are just the springs going up to the chassis.
Here is a photo of my TT which had the standard axle as in the first photo. Truck now lives in Melbourne.
This is the single speed standard like the one you found.

The leaf springs in Bill's pic look a bit hefty, so are the curved arms and tension springs there to give a smoother ride when the truck is running empty?
