Too many open sand hills for Stradbroke or Moreton Islands. Think maybe around Iron Range/ Princess Charlotte Bay area on Cape York? Even up towards Lockhart River.

The country looks very alpine like in the photo, and most people who see it assume that the white stuff is snow.
