I have my shoulder to the wheel,
my nose to the grindstone,
I've put my best foot forward,
I've put my back into it,
I'm gritting my teeth,
Now I find I can't do any work in this position!
Mercedes Benz is a model 306 I think. Before the 1418 anyway.
The tanker is an Ergomatic cabbed AEC, Leyland or possibly Albion if they put Albion badges on that cab. All owned by Leyland and run towards bankruptcy by bean counters by that stage. The cab was designed by AEC to have a flat floor and have their ill-fated (forced onto the market against engineers wishes) V8. If it has Leyland badges it probably has the Leyland 690 under the cab, necessitating a huge engine cover, ruining the flat floor design.

Thanks for the truck information. That is a 1969 photo, with the mid 60s Falcon as a clue.
Not Craigieburn or Fairfield APM.
The area is still industrial today. I'm having trouble getting an exact match. I suspect that the nearer low-rise has been demolished, and the further facility has been expanded.
We can afford to go slowly, and the only clue which I'll offer is the full uncropped view, but only if the quiz looks like stalling.
