KW Questions was created by GM Diesel
Heres a couple of KW questions for you.
Swishy and the google monster Andy will know the answers so they may have to sit out this one and see who else knows.
Kenworth - where did the name come from ?
The K series cabovers - what does the K stand for ?
The W models - what does the W stand for ?

1) Kenworth = The name Kenworth is a combination of the names of the partners, Fredrick Kent and Edgar Worthington.
2) K = kake tin.
3) W = Wobble this way, wobble that way.

Monty your pretty much right with the first. Think it was Harry Kent but as swish says I do stand to be corrected.
Second two answers are creative....
Wobble this way, wobble that way sounds like a description of a 190 Inter. :D

I think I just worked out the K and W in my head. Hadn't thought of it like that actually. Very cool. I'm in such a state. ;)

mainly cos those in the Don'tknow couldn't do m up with out the wheelz wobble n down the rd

Hi all,
from what I read in a book about Kenworths the other day the company started out with Captain Frederick Kent and Edgar Worthington then Cap'n Fred retired and passed control to his son Harry Kent , but I do st... you Know the rest..

Try GERSIX, then KW was formed in abouts 1923.

Oh, back to the original questions from Basil.
