These photos were taken with my phone which could be 5 or 6 years old could be the reason for the poor quality.

Didn't realize any of the early Nubians came out here!

A small number came out as airport fire engines, but fully imported with bodywork.

Do a site search for Thorneycroft Nubian 6x6 LFT.

A friend operated one at Esssendon airport in the last few years before Tulla opened. He and a few others took one, flat knacker under police escort, to a petrol tanker fire on Shepherds' bridge, which MFB hadn't been able to extinguish - the bitumen was burning too, it was that hot. They knocked the flames out in less than one minute!
