Interesting bit of history T. I reckon that back axle looks european but doesn't look like a Leyland hub reduction. The Yanks were never into hub reduction diffs on trucks.

Cam, the whole enterprise is a mystery. Mack Ashdod has been out of business since at the very latest 1985 and all of their materials are kept with someone who is not as yet prepared to share them (although this may happen in the future). Thinking about it the rear axle does indeed look more like an MAN or Deutz product but it's difficult to tell from that angle.

here's another pic complete with confusing eucaliptus trees (there's a story behind that).



There's a badage on the bonnett and it would be appropriate for it to be of a cross between a kanaanite dog, a bulldog and a Staffordshire terrier :-?

g'day Tatra .. would you know a reason for the offset cab ? as it usually was a vocational thing with manufacturers to offer that style into specialised work....cheers mate

Detective, I have no clue... At the same time Mack Ashdod assembled R-600s (in flintstones and GRP bonnetted forms) so they were familiar with both configurations. It made sense on the larger DM800 which was used in the heavy transport field but on a medium truck like the E190 not that much...
