Hi Pete, 'just done a virtual round the world trip'. a few mins ago I was writing from UK, and now I feel as if I am back in Oz
The Deutz 4 cyl unit was a very pokey little motor and was very popular over here at 7.5t gross.
The cab in the ad is one I have not seen before.
Heres another odd Magirus cab.
It is the prototype of the first tilt cab model in 1958, complete with hinges each side of the badge !
Cheers

Mmmmm, Roland, I wonder how stable the cab would be when it was tilted, looking at the spacing of those heavyweight hinges. I am assuming that the lower section of the cab & guards stay where they are? Cheers from sunny orstralya, Tim

Yes Tim you are right.
I have some drawings somewhere, in my collection of odd pictures and stuff.
The cab went a long way forward.
They only made a couple to try them out and then went for what is now a normal type of tilt.
Cheers
