BK,
Thank you for your observations....as I say
This was 1955... before safety regulations were even thought of.
Any more Mickey takers ?
Bring it on.
I am talking about the 'history of a commercial vehicle'.
I thought this was the correct place to do so ?
Cheers

Good Morning Roland, sorry about the mickey taking, I was definately being facetious. I realised that it was an engineering drawing but I could just imagine the driving position in the drawing. It actually was quite a forward thinking vehicle for that era. Looks were'nt too bad either. Cheers Tim

That's quite a neat looking truck Roland, it's on 10 stud wheels too, quite heavy spec for that size of truck, I'm sure similar size Mercedes trucks of that era would have been on 8 stud wheels. I think White had one of the first tilt cabs with the 3000 series which was introduced in 1949.

G'day Fageol100
Good spot on the studs !
Maggie specs always were on the heavy side.
I don't know much about WHITES, but I am sure you are right ?
Cheers

Hi Pete, I'm not 100% sure when Truck and Bus started doing their specs issue which used to be every July, but I think it was 1971. Very handy referencefor getting weights for rego.
Much older Cam, I think they started in July 49. About 98% accurate and a very useful guide re various models.

Thanks Pete, I've got quite a few T&BT's, but obviously not too many July editions.
