What sort of truck? - Semi truck or prime mover

Why so strange looking? - On the wrong side of the road! And missing the bonnet!

52-3 cc823 kw with experimental turbine engine
one in back is same kw with cummins nhrs from memory trucks were owned by lasme

Well that certainly didn't test the class! I was hoping someone could tell us the story behind it. When, who, what sort of turbine, performance and success or failure. Ivor, can you expand on your info?
