Well done grandad, it's a 1938-1940 Studebaker cab over, probably a 1938 K20-M. Studebaker used this style of Metro cab from 1936-1940.
This is a 1938 K20-M at the Bill Richardson Truck Museum in Invercargill.

There is/was one of those Studebaker trucks at the Gayndah steam mill, just up the road from here.
