This looks familiar, but it's not a Mack.

Brockway did use the R model cab hayseed, but this isn't a Brockway. There was one other manufacturer used this cab.

Bit hard to see the logo, but perhaps CCC - Crane Carrier Company. They made lots of garbage trucks and did copies/conversions of other trucks when starting off.

Collector and admirer of ye olde crappe.  I'm interested in researching and collecting old numb

It's got a badge on the nose that say's "C C C", but Russell MacNiel aint even sure himself, if it's a Mack or not.

Just scroll down, it's there.

Hoarder I would say you were right. Thanks Greenie, I would say it probably is a CCC, I seem to remember that I read somewhere that Crane Carrier Corp. of Tulsa Oklahoma used R model Mack cabs on a few trucks. With the twin exhaust stacks it is probably V8 powered, maybe Detroit 8V71N or Cummins V903.

With those skinny little pipes I would bet its an 8V71 ... A 903 would need bigger ones

Werk, 903's had 3" pipes out of the manifolds and 903's had 3" from memory. I've got some pipes off a 903 here and they are only 3". the Detriots used to like a lot of air flow in and out.
