Karrier it is.

It came from down Cooma way, used for carting wool IIRC. Was restored in Sydney in late 60s, but changed hands a couple of times, was last in the old Bus & Truck Museum at Tempe, considerably deteriorated. Don't know what happened when this closed down. Shame, it was a wonderful truck.

I think this might be a Gilford, but I'm not sure, does anyone know?

The wheels are to a late twenties/early thirties pattern. Looks like it might be a half cab bus chassis, and as it is a 6 wheeler on singles it would have to be pommy. Although the encyclopedias don't mention a 6 wheeler you are probably right.

I agree with Mammoth about the half cab bus chassis. The steering wheel is too far forward to be anything else.

If you blow the photo up there is a dash board in front of the steering wheel, also looks like some sort of winged radiator cap, and the name plate resembles an albion one.

Trust me

On the original photo have a look at the amount of space between the right hand mudguard and the side of the engine cover, then compare it to the gap on the left hand side. Looks like a off set of the motor biased to the LHS.
