Star system was created by Administrator
In response to Deadly Daves question. What do the stars mean after a members name.

Basically these indicate how many posts a person has. The exception to this is the Administrator post. Who has full stars to begin with.

You will also note that everybody is called a newbie. This is also a rating system.

newbies get 1 star and have less than 50 posts
Junior member get 2 stars and have between 50 and 100 posts
Full Member get 3 stars and have between 100 and 250 posts
Senior members get 4 stars and have between 250 and 500 posts
God members get 5 stars and have over 500 posts

The exceptions to the above are:-

administrators 5 red stars
Global Moderators 5 blue stars
Moderators 5 green stars

(currently only have one administrator additional administrators or Moderators will be added as required)

At a recent meeting between the Forum admin's and the Moderator's. We discussed a revamp of the star system.

To bring it more into line with trucks etc (and for a bit of fun) we decided on the following levels:-

Truck Restorer - 5000 - 4 Blue stars
Transport Magnate - 4500, 3 blue stars
Medium fleet owner - 4000 - 2 Blue stars
Small fleet owner 3500 - 1 Blue stars
Fleet Manager - 3000 - 5 Gold stars
Depot Manager - 2500 - 4 gold stars
Interstate driver - 2000 - 3 Gold stars
Local driver 1500 - 2 Gold stars
First Job 1000 - 1 Gold stars
MC Licenced 500 - 5 silver stars
Semi Licenced 200 - 4 Silver stars
HR Licenced 100 - 3 silver star.
MR Licenced 50- 2 Silver star
LR Licenced 25 - 1 Silver star
Learners 1 - 0 stars

Hope you enjoy the new levels who will be our first 4 blue star "Truck Restorer"? 8-)

davjoh,

The different grades are based on the number of posts that you have contributed to the forum.

So all new members to the forum become Learners. And after they have contributed 25-49 posts they become LR Licenced then so on up the list.

Since the original list was posted we have added another level to this list.

Serious Collector - 6000 - 5 Blue stars.

At the rate some of our regular contributors are going I will have to consider some more levels! The next one after this might be at 7500 or 10000! I have some ideas of what the next level will be! :D But hopefully no rush.

JB, you better get you thinking cap on, he's only got 984 posts to go before he becomes a serious collector. I reckon he'll be there by the end of the month ;D

There is an old girl on the Antquie tractor forum who had over 20000 posts to her name . Not bad for an 80 year old .
