The Last Administrator , I believe would be Jarrod.
He created this member to start building the forum.

So Jarrod created the forum 15 months before it opened .
It is a pity he is not here and able to give us the background story of the struggle to get it up and running .

Administrator is not a person. It is what is known in IT circles as a "service account".
It's role is to "own" the forum. It is set up like this so that if a person leaves (such as JBlair just did) the forum still works.

If the forum had been setup under JBlair's id then when he deleted his account we could have lost the forum.

IanOz is right but Jarrod was looking at the software to play with some ideas before he went to the club. He also wanted to understand how it worked before he was responsible for supporting other people. Being an IT professional Jarrod set it up with a separate "service account" from the start.

Gryphon did the technical parts of the server move with us and also helped John Wright with the website. We have been in touch with each other to progress the forum upgrade.

Andy Wright was the first additional moderator we appointed. At that stage we didn't have the global moderator group set up. L don't think he will mind me saying he lost interest when his trucks were sold and his second child was born.

The forum has been going for 8 years. During that time people have helped out and become moderators but over time commitments and priorities change so some find themselves in a position where they can't help any more.

Jimbo set up some groups so we can add people to them which will give them the same access as a normal member but the title will acknowledge their assistance. I am in the process of testing this as I would hate to accidentally block their access, however as it isn't causing any issues other forum and personal things have a higher priority.

I really wish that this airing of dirty washing would end because it does none of you any good!!!

as I understand it JBlair & BParo set this whole thing up....at no cost.....now some thinks it not good enough....well hellooooooo.......not good enough????.....then go start your own forum and leave the poor guys who have toiled for so long to keep this forum going alone.

this whole episode played out in the public domain with some topics being locked does none of you any good.....frankly the whiners look like immature school kids....this forum is what it is.....dont like it????.....then leave......and pleas don't forget to shut the door behind you.......

Newto ,and others ,what you don't seem to understand is the framework of the forum is slowly falling apart .
It can not be just left be .We could wake up tomorrow morning and find the forum gone . None of us want to see that happen . two forums i am on have had hacker attacks that put them off line . One forum manage to salvage all but the last 3 months , but lost all the photos . The other Lost every thing, and had to start from scratch.

Bruce says things are moving forward , and i believe him,As long as he is given Access ,which he looks to now have ,we are all in a better position than earlier .
