Hi Swishy The time clock will be right for you mexicans once the dreaded daylight savings kicks in again . ian.

All great suggestions.

However we do use a software to run the forum. And we are restricted in what we can do.

The search engine that is used. I cannot find anything in the backend of the system to modify what is currently offered. But when I get a chance I will look further into it.

The link page is a great idea. Maybe the easiest way is to create a folder for links or at the least create a topic for it in the general area. Will have to think it through further.

As for editing posts. Going by the configuration all users should be able to edit there own posts up to 1 day after posting. If this is not the case I will have to look into it further.

The clock as shown on the forum is set to Australian eastern. And has enabled automatic daylight savings. Not sure if the clock is coming from the server but I expect it is. I will for now remove the auto daylight savings option as it may be adding daylight savings onto a server already allowing for it. But I don't want to have to remember to go in and out twice a year removing daylight savings! Will have to see what happens.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Not sure how many we can enable. But it will take some time to investigate.

And totally agree it would be really nice if everyone would fill in some more details on their profile.

JBlair,Andrew McIntosh asked me recently about links for the ATHS site.I told him to E mail all the sites listed on the Heritage truck site and ask them to link up with them.Anyway,there is quite a few of us that enjoy this site that look after websites.You`ve already got a good links page on your site,but it might be a possible catagory,I know a lot of us check out the Pommie BigLorryBlog on the odd occasion as well.There is a lot of us with with a common interest and it`s a good way to pick up info.A catagory might give an oportunity to piont out what is happening on other sites.
