MEMBER PROFILES

Just wondering what members thought of having an expanded profile page where members could give a more detailed profile if they wish , list their collection and also post photos of there pride and joy and other trivial info . I know some other forums ( CHAIN SAW COLLECTORS CORNER ) have extensive profiles listing much information if members so desire .

Good idea. But some members are a bit shy in sharing what they have. More information in profiles I think is possible in the future versions of the forum software. But unfortnately not in the version we are currently running.

Two options at the moment.
1) Do what I have done and a couple of others have also done. Start a page in the restoration folder about each of your vehicles or one post for your entire collection!
2) Add your vehicle details just year model and manufacturer to your profiles signature area.

or just put info about ourselves & collections here?
im in my 40s live in Newcastle / furniture removalist
have 2 UDs
allis chalmers HD7 .. international TD15a dozers + a few old tractors
dodge 700 series truck
P76 Targa florio under resto(98% done)

i will just post my last psychiatric report,that should confirm everything!

In the same vein what about a trucks gallery, how often to we read reference to a certain make/model of truck but have no idea what it looks like.... how awsome would it be to have as many of the various makes and models that we come across, stored in a searchable site.

Way beyond my capabilities but I am sure some guru will know how it can be done.

Try Google, then click Images and go for it...
I put in 'Bedford 1934'.... guess whose pic shows ?
Put in any Truck, Car, Bike, Tractor, Boat, Plane... model and year..
and you will get a selection of great pictures.

The journey back was great !
It was ok until I went out to see if the car would start after standing in the UK rain for 6 weeks.
It did start (Volkswagen)...
But the outside temperature gauge did my head in !!
it showed 3.5 deg C.
In Oz up in the NT I saw 49 deg C on the display.
This is mad. 45 deg difference !!
It was good to get back to MY car, but I do miss happy people, Bundy, Boags, B-Doubles, Bondi Bikinis, and Factor 30 suncream.
It has not stopped raining for the last 4 days .
No snow forecast yet. We had a bit last year.
I will post pics if it happens.

I will return, when I can.
