Un-read posts disappear.

When I go to "recent topics," I find several posts that I have not read but no longer appear in "Forum Latest." I open the forum almost every day and sometimes several times in a day but some of these things I have not seen can be several days old.

Why?
What can I do about it?

I have my shoulder to the wheel,
my nose to the grindstone,
I've put my best foot forward,
I've put my back into it,
I'm gritting my teeth,

Now I find I can't do any work in this position!

Hi,

Click on the 'More Topics' at the bottom of the Forum Latest display. This will take you to the Recent Topics pages.

Paul, Thanks.
Gryphon, Thanks but several months ago, I asked you why when I said that when I clicked on "More Topics" it did not give more but would refresh but that I might not have noticed. I replied that I did not understand computers but when it said it would give more topics, I expected it to give more topics, not just show the same ones.

All I want is for topics not to disappear before I have read them.

Hi,

the 'Forum Latest' is a quick link type display of the last 12 posts to be updated from the 'Recent Topics' page. If the link is in Bold font then you haven't read them but the display is the same 12 for everyone so you can't get just the last 12 you haven't read.

If people are making updates faster than you can read them then you should use the 'Recent Topics' tab at the top of the display as it is not restricted to the last 12 Posts and you can scroll back through the pages picking up anything you have missed.
