Message section

Hi Andy, Just a suggestion, could we make the message section (at top of page) a little bit more conspicuous (ie like the BMT forum - there, a new message flashes at you). A couple of times, I've missed new messages. :-[
Also, aren't you guys down in mexico on DST (daylight saving time). I note the BB shows non-DST time. :

Sorry Swishy, just to clarify, I'm talking about right up the top (left hand side) of the home page - re personal messages, Not the actual forum section.
On my page, it says;
Good Evening HeyCharger,
you have 4 messages, and no new messages.
This is the message section I was referring to which I would like more pronounced.

Interesting idea of making it more prominent. I will have a look at it next time I'm in the back end. The main thing is that any change I would like it to continue to be part of the normal formatting. But maybe even just putting the numbers in bold may be enough. Difficult one to do without looking bad.

As for the date/time I hadn't really worried about it. But the other point is that the date/time can be set by the user profiles also so you can set it to your locality and time difference.

If I have a new message on that forum the "X New Messages" FLASHES in RED, taking your eye straight to it. (right hand side about 2" down from top).
Just a thought.

I didn't like the idea of the whole line flashing etc. And after investigation making text flash isn't easy as the methods used are generally browser specific.

What I have done is when you have a new message the number of messages will appear in red and bold. Unfortunately the place I changed it may mean in a future update this may be lost. But updates don't occur every day so we should be right for the time being

I have also fixed up the day light saving issue. But as mentioned you can change the time settings in your member profile area
