Single Drive Diff

Howdy All,

Im on the hunt for a single drive Rockwell R170 diff with spider hubs if anyone has any ideas.
Cant find anything here and dont know any reliable places on the right coast to contact.

Were they used in the ACCO 3070 single drive ? Podge might have one.

Im not sure about the 3070. I have a RA57 Inter diff out of an S Line which im sure they used in the T Lines also.
Pretty sure the RA57 is a Rockwell. Wether or not a 170 pumpkin will go into a 57 housing I dont know.
The RA57 is heavy enough for what I want but the fastest ratio you can get for them is 3.73.
I need a ratio around 3.33 - 3.42 which I know I can get for the R170.

dont know what your really after but i came across this in my travels today

good photo's Paul, can almost see the diff ratio stamped on the flat spot beside the 2 speed.

That one might be a little light for what im doing. Need something that will handle 420 horses.
Not a bad looking jigger the Inter...be a good project in your shed.

I often seem to be blowing the bugle for Midlands Truck Spares, so I put them to the test for you, :

Ive just come back from picking up a Spicer single drive diff.
Real good nick to complete with springs and hangers....
Got to be lucky some time
I will give Bob at Midlands a call though as im after an older model 16 speed O/D Spicer gearbox also.
