That's interesting v8in, I got 1/4 vent rubbers from Bill Thompson and they were a one piece moulded unit. I have a NOS rubber and will check compatibility. Not good that Thompsons gave you a hard time, not good for customer relations. >:(

Problem with places like Scotts and Spectrum in Sydney is that they have a lot of these rubber mouldings, but quite often no idea what they fit.

Spectrum has an online catalog where you can compare shapes and try and get a match.

I got the exact profile for the Superpoise S front screen from Clark Rubber.
Yes it's off a roll so needs joining but I haven't had a problem with it fitting.
Time may tell.
Yes smaller fiddlier rubbers may not be available but there cheap. :) :) :)
