Does it shift into the other gears and won't go forward, or won't go in? Might be just stuck selectors if it won't go in (gear lever won't move fore/aft in those planes) Are first and reverse in the same plane? (one behind the other?)

Save your self some money there a pretty basic box pull the top off and have a look ,if its been sitting for for a while it might just need a bit WD40 and new oil

Old trucks will make you poor but not unhappy

Dad tells me it has 4 forward gears + reverse and it's two speed not sure if that helps Colin.

On another note shifting the stick around some of the gears have freed up, only gear giving us problems now is second, it's definitely stuffed, so that gear needs to be replaced
