Tridon www.tridon.com.au/partFinder/

They have hundreds of thermostats. If you do not know the part number (or it is some obscure old vehicle no longer on the books) they will give you a thermostat to do the job by just matching dimensions.

I have had a couple supplied for old weird engines. If you measure the dimensions - diameter, height on top and height underneath - these are often not critical as the hole in the block or outlet fitting are normally big enough to take almost any height, whether you want a sealed or by-pass type and what opening temperature you want.

These bellows type thermostats are made from a casting (pinnacle of pre-war technology) and on account of becoming very rare motorhome types were being asked to pay $100's. However it seems that a heap of old stock has come onto the market and can now be sourced from England for under $100.

I believe this might be the Beast,OB70.

Box has p/n B/AAU6378 on it.
Thermostat has LM 514132 stamped on it.
and 160/170 F.

I'm led to believe it is for a 600.
It's in my shed.
If it is the correct item, send me $50.00 and it's yours.

Look at the workmanship in those pictures of Cementepede's .......
A far cry from the bits of pressed Tin you get today...
