I fitted an off the shelf round 75 degree thermostat and o ring (As used in OM407 Mercedes engines) into an upright 600 (the one in busntruck's pic) as a replacement for the original Leyland unit

Big Al, does the Benz one have the bypass shut-off function? If not you will boil the motor.

it did not boil if that's what Al used in my old truck.
Al owned it before me. lol

Yes got the Thermostat thanks to cementenpede this site works well
Now--- For my Foden S21 I need a contact and part nos. for The Fuel filter on front of motor above Timeing chest for 150 LX Gardner--also oil filter
and Lift pump diaphragm / Kit

The lift pump is most probably an AMAL type, parts for these should be readily available.
