Not trying to hijack the thread, but on that bellhousing adaptation, sometimes it is worthwhile investigating the possibility of keeping the original bellhousing which came with whatever transmission and making an adapter plate to suit the back of the block?? Quite a common way of doing it and has been done in many ways and forms in different transplants over the years, especially when it comes to adapting metric gearboxes to Imperial or SAE type blocks. Often means a bit of fiddling with things like clutch throw out forks and bearings, etc. Any good clutch joint can usually adapt a metric spline to a standard clutch/pressure plate.Just a thought.
