I am looking to transport a WW2 Army Jeep from Orbost to Brisbane. (Replacement for the one which died). I don't really feel like driving all the way there and back with a trailer. It is fully driveable. Weighs one tonne and about 3m long and 1.2 high (with the windscreen folded.)

Any leads on someone who could do the job?

could it be driven to Brisbane under it's own power?

Having lived through a pandemic I now understand all the painting of fat people on couches!

Yes it could but involves flying to Melbourne, getting to Orbost then a 3 day trip home - probably close to $1,000 by the time you are finished.

I would like to publicly thank Steve Bragg for his efforts to run around in Gippsland to pick up and transport my new jeep (replacement for the one which committed Hari Kari on Cape York) to Wauchope. Saved me about 3,000km of driving.

Thanks Steve.

He is still in hospital. Has had a couple of trips out for "day release" to have lunch with his family but had to sit in a wheel chair then return to hospital to be put on some sort of limb stretching device again.

Hopes to be finally home this weekend but still a long way to go,

It's good to hear he is on the mend, even if slowly. I've been through this with my dad.
It's good when the whole thing's a memory.

Thanks, Jarrod.
