Anyone with knowledge of Clark forks? My old yard fork is in a bad way and I can't find parts or info mainly because I can't even identify what it is other than Clark. Its 186 Holden powered and has no id plate or model on it, there is a number stamped in the engine bay but that turns up nothing, anybody able to shed some light?

The US equivalent had a 4cyl Continental.I found the model no and a sales leaflet on the Clark website.Paul Jeffs has one ,but he has a sloping yard,so wanted the brakes to work.I got the bits from TVH,but they werent cheap. The wheel brakes are bands, and the cylinder is inside the axle housing.

You must have read my mind John, my brakes were always pretty good but while using it the other night the pedal went to the floor and fluid starting leaking out of a tell tale hole on the bottom of the front axle housing, I refilled the master put can't get any sort of action at the pedal, by what you say it has probably popped the internal cylinder, do you get at this through the wheel end or is it axle out?

There is a mob in South Australia who carry all the old Clark bits. They provided me with a full steering box rebuild kit for my 1941 Clarktor tow motor a couple of years ago. Very good to deal with.

I will try to find contact details.

Try SA Lift and Loader at Wingfield while I am looking.

You will say"Surely I dont have to pull all that off just to fix the brakes".The bad news is that there is no good news.Lucky you have acres of concrete for trolley jacks and blocking up.One of my Chamberlain tractors is the same. The brake bands could come out thru the housing. But they dont.

Unfortunately I wont have that concrete much longer, I'm mid move and the fork is supposed to be going on a truck on friday so I suppose it is going with no brakes or I might just scrap it as it really needs a lot of work and it probably isn't worth the cost of transporting it.
