engine manual for as160 truck

Hi, I am chasing a workshop manual to help me rebuild the engine in a as 160. the engine number is abd2402797. Thanks in advance

What you need is the AS line supplement to the big AR/AL manual.......CTS-11-1A......is your motor a tilt valve?...if so later manuals for the 281 cover what you need to know.....There is one trick in the early motors,is the big end bolts need the heads aligned to clear the cam lobes in some motors.Easily done if you know about it.The very best of the early manuals to find is the big AB series one,all the ones between AL/AR and AB are supplements to the AR/AL,which contain a lot of useless info on the big motors Blue and Red Diamonds.

I don't think the engine is a tilt valve. How do I tell

Tilt valve engines have.......tilted valves.....(ie not vertical).....different rockers,rocker cover,head,etc,and head gasket,pistons.And a bit more power.
