A friend called saying he has broken the axle in his 1946 Dodge 1/2 ton ute. - heavy coupe style, not the car based one. It appears the axle is the same as the cars for the 1/2 tonner and they did not go to floating axles until the 3/4 ton size (must be the case because he said the wheel fell off going up the Toowoomba range).
Any leads appreciated.
