A lot of readymix trucks had interchangeable bodies to go from mixer to tipper in rural areas were there was only a small fleet
A friend still has a prime mover that a tipper goes on as well
There simple over center latches that hold it on and it has never failed and is still on full rego

There is a heavy vehicle driving school based in Wangaratta with interchangeable's, guess it saves them time setting up between trucks and students.
Would like to do the same.

Scania ( and possibly other makes ) offered a quick change between a frame
for a rigid tipper and frame with turntable. Well designed latches.
Saw them on a T113 about 1990. Can be done. Paul

Have seen them (tipper, semi mounts) on a few trucks that a business I was involved with had, however the trucks were leased and I can't remember details.

However I'm sure I saw advts 20 or so years ago, for the over-centre type ones mentioned earlier, and whilst I may well be wrong the name Tylden Engineering comes to mind.
