I have our 2016 model every day car insured with Shannons
. Their green slips are very cheap if the vehicle is comprehensively insured with them.

Hi,

I have been with Lumley's for my collectable vehicles and daily driver for 10 years or more and found them comparable enough to Shannons that I haven't been able to justify the switch. The daily Falcon Ute, which is almost collectable in its own right, is always cheaper than the so called cheap insurance companies., i.e. BudgetDirect and Youi.

I think it all comes down to the underwriters providing the policies to these companies and there is not many players left to choose from.

Abbuss, just sticky beaking, but why did Shannons say no. My ACCO in full rego was with them for peanuts cost when I said I only drove it about 10 times a year, and that would include Alice Springs and other truck shows. Changed over to club rego, still with them and though some years have passed, cost has gone down. My Choice of repairer and or keep the wreck etc.

EMNTK? Is there some trick to asking them?

Yeah Sarge they didnt seem to think a 1996 Hino FT 4x4 to be used for touring as camper or caravan and boat fitted their criteria
