Can anyone help with a dead or cheap 300 CI petrol engine with the compressor timing cover, also need a compressor needed for parts for a museum restoration project.

Have you tried ACW? IIRC he's in Bayswater Vic and specialises in Bedfords.
I'd rather have tools that I don't need, than not have the tools I do need.
