Baz,

We have 2 of them - one runs and operates but has no brakes, the other is not operational due to the fact it ain't got no transmission, engine or radiator! Why I said it's crappy is that the rolling frame is actually sitting in a million pieces awaiting an engine and gearbox transplant!

nothing wrong with having things laying around with out the engine or box in it, the missus just thinks it is a worthless piece of @#$%but look out when you do get it all togther an runnin , then all she can see is $$$$$$$$ ;)

ive a Perkins 540 turbo V8 (rated at 231hp)i imported it about 3 years ago was going to fit it into the old leyland mastiff i had( but i sold that truck)..then i was sizing things up in my old acco 1830B...unfortunally the Perkins V8 was a bit to wide

Somehow I thinks you is right! I hate having them laying around but when they're back together and running, it seems all worthwhile!

An interesting point about the Perkins Kenny, Inters offered the Perkins V8 as an option on the ACCO 1950A in NZ but not very popular . This was the non turbo version 170 hp I think. Cheers Pete

the chassis probably goes around the motor? the non turbo is usually 180bhp the earlier 510V8 is usually 170bhp..the motors go forever though
