Bono, how did you go with your acoustic material, did it do the job and stay stuck???
I went the paupers option for the moment with old carpet sisal underlay and rubber matting for the floors, blankets for the engine cover and some felt type mat for the cab walls. I put a bit of insulation (thermal) with a foil skin in the engine compartment to help seal the cover joins.... it all makes it a bit better but plenty of room for improvement.
Problem is quality, cost and fixing.... I was interested to read about a pommy brand where two acoustic mats have a lead sheet in between them, but the stuff seems more aimed at Boom Box car stereo use than loud truck engines. And the cost was getting up to buy another truck money.
