Hi, i'm new to the forum game....but i have an old Mack tipper i want to put back to life. It's 99.9% complete not all functional but has a rusty cab. I would love to hear what people sujest as to repair or replace. The main parts rusted are above the rear window and beside the front windscreen. Other areas are on the sides of the cab which could be repaired without to much fuss. Shes a great old rig with plenty of life in her yet. I plan on doing a full restore with nice paint and a new tipping body. Then using it commercially. 237 Maxidyne with 6 speed air splitter etc.
I value all comments and advise.
I would add some pictures but can't figure out how to do that.

I wouldn,t try to repair this cab. It would be one of the worst cases of rust I have seen. There will be a lot of rust hidden that will reappear once you paint it up. I have retored a 77 cool power and I have a 88 value liner. I would go for the later R model cab say 85 on or even a valuliner cab as they were Galv dipped and are generally rust free except for the front scuttle vent. I dont think any of the beige interior trim cabs were galv dipped. The trim can then be swaped to the earlier beige colour if you with. You will need to either repaint or swap the dash out too to keep her authentic.
