Engines have always fascinated me from a kid, at the start of the war we moved to a town with electricity and I would spend hours at the power station amongst the noise and smells of the machinery, nearby there was a prisoner of war cam and an Italyan POW made this model engine completely out of wood, celephane covered cutout's to see all the moving parts when the crank was turned, very clever, took some time, not a bad life!!

I always like to nose around museums wherever I go, this one was at the D.C museum in Washington, even small towns produce great finds.
