Great photos Peat always love old photos of the old country carrier every country town had one they normally carted stock ,wool etc you wouldn't still have the old petrol bowsers that are in the photos would you if you had them id be interested in buying them if you wanted to sell them

The picture of the D series Ford with the 44 gallon drums was taken on the the way to Dartmouth during the dams construction.
The Green Commer original was bought when my father carted concrete from corryong up to the Snowy Mountains scheme in 1965. The bull bar on the front was to help stop the truck occasionally. He said they made it wrap around the cab slightly so that if he couldn't stop he would run it along the embankment....That truck went on to being a super spreader and prime mover
Here's also a picture of one of the concrete trucks that did't stop

Not sure.....I remember when it was new in the early 70's It was then on the back of a 7 ton Bedford which I have a picture of somewhere. The spreader had a blower instead of spinners. The blower was connected to a Holden red motor....161 I think.
